The end result was what was agreed upon. Father and son, John and Tim, worked well together preparing the paperwork. They kept in communication via email and phone. We met on a Friday morning, was told to expect the completion of the transaction 4-5 days later, Tuesday or Wednesday, at the latest. On Friday, there was supposedly a weather delay. That Monday was a legal holiday. Our business was completed on Wednesday, a week after the original goal. I was feeling frustrated awaiting the completion of our business, knowing Mother Nature and a legal holiday can slow down progress. My recommendation would be to tell clients there could be delays, due to unforeseen circumstances instead of giving a completion date. But again, the end result was as promised.
